As the old saying goes, "nothing good in life is free".
But is that true for Instagram?
I was doing some google searching and kept coming across sites offering 50 free Instagram likes or 100 free Instagram likes trial.
My curiosity was piqued.
I decided to test and review 5 different websites that claim to give give free Instagram likes (either one-off or on a recurring basis) and evaluate the quality of their likes.

- Stormlikes.com
- Gramblast.com
- Buzzoid Free Likes
- Fuelgram.com (invite only - NOT WORKING
However, not all likes were born equal and the quality is not the same.

Summary Comparison of Sites offering 50-100 Free Instagram Likes
InstaBF - not working (Dec 2019)
I discovered InstaBF via Telegram (@instabfbot).
Once you start chatting to it, you'll get a link for 250 free Instagram likes. And boy did the likes come fast. I had more than 250 likes within the span of 2 minutes.
If you want 100 more likes, all you have to do is to write any direct message to their official account @instabfnet on Instagram and within 30 seconds you will receive a link to your free trial package.
Evaluation
Quality: Likes were pretty legit. Some non-english speaking, some private but the likes came from active accounts. Check out the quality here.
The best thing - NO PASSWORD REQUIRED. Just enter your user name, pick which pics you want to receive the likes, and BOOM 🔥.

I like it, definitely worth a try. It works pretty well. I get about 500=750 free likes a day just from people clicking that link! ☝️
And it's pretty easy to build a website like this to share with your friends!
Like4Like.com is a beautifully designed website that offers up to 100 free Instagram likes a day.
It requires you to enter your Instagram password, because it uses your account to like other people's accounts.
After you have entered your username and password, you will see an Auto-Like toggle. If the toggle is switched on, Like4Like will use your account to like other people's photos on Instagram.
In return, you will earn up to ❤️ hearts. 1 ❤️ = 1 like. Once the website has used your account to give 100 likes (or perhaps even more, who knows), and you have 100 ❤️ available, you can then withdraw the likes.
If you click on the "Get Likes" button, you will see your latest posts. You can then select which photo you want to receive likes for.
Once you have selected the photo, you can choose to withdraw up to 100 likes.
Evaluation: Do the free Instagram likes work?
Yes. Within 10 minutes, my post received 107 free likes.
Are the likes real?
Well it's hard to say.
The accounts weren't as fake as some other vendors selling fake likes (where the user follows about 5-6K accounts and has a similar number of followers but zero posts).
Nor did they have randomly generated usernames comprising of weird characters and a string of numbers.
Most of the accounts looked like this.
Most of them had one 1 post only, posted on 22 July 2019.
In fact, on closer inspection, almost all of them came from accounts with one post, dated 22 July 2018.
I would safely conclude that these likes are not from active accounts, which can easily be detected by a tool like Hype Auditor.
Evaluation
I would not recommend using Like4Like.com for free likes. It's free for a reason - Like4Like sells likes as well, so the way they are probably monetizing is by using YOUR account to give away more likes than you think.
Stormlikes is another beautifully designed site (from Sweden) that claims to offer real Instagram likes.
Stormlikes is a paid site - they charge for likes which can be billed either one-time or monthly.
Stormlikes does offer a free trial whereby you can get 50 free likes. No password is required, though you need to give your Instagram handle and email address.
Advanced targeting: Country and Gender
The interesting thing about Stormlikes is its advanced targeting options (not available during free trial).
Stormlikes allows you to set a preferred country and preferred gender to receive likes from.
For example, if you wanted to buy Instagram likes from USA accounts who are also female, you could specify this when ordering.
The website claims that they will try to deliver as many Instagram likes as possible from accounts in your target country / gender, but there are no guarantees that you will get them.
If they don't have enough users, you will get the IG likes from another country.
My hypothesis is that this should work well for large countries like the USA / UK but it won't work for small countries.
You can state your preference to buy Insta likes from any country, though as mentioned before, there are no guarantees the you will receive them from the coutry of your choice.
With the free trial, you only have to give your username (and email). No password is required.
You can then select which post you want to receve likes from.
You will then be prompted to give your email address.
Evaluation
The likes received were mostly from real people, though many profiles were private (so it's hard to tell from those).
In summary, higher quality than Like4Like.com but not as good as Fuelgram.
Buzzoid Free Likes is another website that offers free likes and 100 likes on a free trial.
The only thing that is required is the Instagram username and your email address.
Similar to Gramblast, I was to connect my account but was unable to order the free likes from Buzzoid due to a highly annoying recaptcha that kept appearing over and over again.
In the end, I kept getting this error message, so I gave up. 🤷♀️
Gramblast Free Likes - 50 Instagram likes for Free
Gramblast has a beautiful interface as well (that looks surprisingly like Stormlikes). Perhaps they're from the same company (unclear).
Gramblast also offers 50 Instagram likes for free during your initial sign-up.

Summary and Final Conclusion
In summary, I liked InstaBF's telegram for bots for decent quality likes and great referral programme.
I was not a fan of recurring free likes (from Like4Like) or free likes from one-off free trials (from Stormlikes or Gramblast or Buzzoid).
The websites don't work well and to be honest the likes didn't feel that authentic.
At best, you get inactive accounts liking your post (easily detected by HypeAuditor (use promocode STEPHLLEE to analyze 3 Instagram accounts for free)
At worst, the sites use your account without your knowledge to sell likes to other people.
Why Likepool? With a Chrome Extension, you know that the user is active on Instagram as his computer has to be always on. He/she's also trying to get get likes by using the extension so they're definitely legit.
With Fuelgram, people are paying quality money for quality likes. (Read this post for why I use Fuelgram Likes to boost my engagement)
After all, just remember this saying "If you pay peanuts, you'll get monkeys.""
